An Education Revolution

The Saint Lucia Labour Party intends to revolutionize the education system in our next term in government. In our previous term we implemented Universal Secondary Education and abolished the shift system in primary schools. We have already stated that it is our goal to have Universal Pre-School Education by 2015. However, we also plan to make significant improvements at the primary and secondary school levels.

The SLP will Strengthen the Foundation of our Education System

The SLP understands that a strong and resilient nation must be built on a good education system. That is why, during our previous term in government, we introduced Universal Secondary Education to provide a place in Secondary School for every child. However, we recognize that there are still problems at the Early Childhood Education level, where many children are not attending Pre-School because either their parents cannot afford the cost or facilities do not exist in the communities where they live.

Alvina Reynolds on Teachers’ Week

“Happy Teachers’ Week to all teachers around Saint Lucia. May the mighty hand of God continue to direct you. May His words make you wiser and His Spirit make you stronger as you facilitate postiive change in our society. To teach is to touch lives forever. Go therefore and teach them RIGHT!!!!! TEACHERS BE BLESSED!” – Babonneau Candidate Alvina Reynolds

Time for an Education Revolution in Saint Lucia

Your next SLP Government will make it possible for every pre-school age child to attend school.
