Our government is extremely pleased that St. Jude Hospital is finally nearing completion. There have been many challenges in completing this hospital and I must admit that this process has taken much longer than we had originally anticipated.

The UWP failed our doctors. The doctors were so fed up with the “deplorable working conditions” and the “shortage of staff” at the Victoria Hospital, that they walked out of the job earlier this week.
Ridiculously long shifts. Terrible working conditions. This is what the UWP has done to Saint Lucia’s healthcare system. It’s not just the doctors that are fed up, patients are fed up too. Care will be hurt by the long shifts and the bad working conditions.
